Slugs is a daily serial comic Liam started in the beginning of the pandemic. It is now approaching the 600th installment, and, like the pandemic, shows no signs of going away.

"Lots of people say "someday I'm gonna draw comics," but it's rare for people to get down and do it–rarer few are those who stick with it, developing a cast of characters over weeks, months, even years in actual strips at a regular release rate!  Liam Spalding is one of those rare few; Slugs is deliciously modern while paying homage to the best of its comic strip forebears. The characters (who occasionally are aware that they're land-dwelling, shell-less mollusks) have specific and complex personalities (including Billbury!) and feel more like real people than some humans I encounter. Best of all, whether it's a haiku-like punchline in 4 panels, or a meandering metaphysical journey that stretches the bounds of the medium, you really have no idea where Slugs stories will take you next!"
